I made through my first day. I am so sore from Jazzercise, but managed to make it to class this morning. I know that I didn’t get in enough calories yesterday, but I will get in enough today. My favorite show comes back tonight. In case you are wondering it is “LOST”. It was such a busy day complete with taking kids to school, doctor appt, and grocery shopping. To add to the craziness I didn’t sleep well at all last night . So this is a short post today and tomorrow I will write about the diet I am using.

Here is an excerpt from an email I got today from the Bigest Loser's Club (BLC).  While this is about going to the gym rather than Jazzercise, the principles are the same. I feel it applies to what I posted earlier.  After reading it, I went back and did a class this afternoon.
"In order to make something a habit you must consciously choose to add it to your life; it will not just magically appear. We are practiced at thinking a certain way and it can be insidious. For Biggest Loser Club members who struggle with that, some realize that once they're at the gym, 'no problem.'Their workout commences. To break down your urges not to exercise, write down how you feel before exercise, during and after. Don't censor your thoughts."
"What you want to focus on is how you feel during and especially afterward. Use your words to motivate you the next time. This way you will begin to see that you really do want to exercise on a regular basis, and it will make getting there much easier."

I don't belong to it because it costs moeny, but I am on the email list.
Today is my first day of getting serious about my weight. Last month was dedicated to just getting in my exercise. I have gotten really lazy. Either it’s too cold , I wake up late, too tired to go in the afternoon, a doctor’s appointment… you get the idea. What has been a real routine breaker is the holidays. My Jazzercise class has moved from a private building to a recreation center that is closed on all holidays. So after a few days off I am out of my routine. In spite of my travel escapades the first half of January, I was still able to make it to 14 classes. My goal was 18. This month, my goal is 28 classes. That will take some hard core dedication since it is a short month and also has a holiday. An additional goal this month is to lose 10 pounds. I am hoping that writing about it here will help me at least stay focused. After all I have a cruise in July, but short term it would be nice to fit in my clothes again and not wear the same outfit or two all the time.
